Kakatiya University Prof Suresh Lal elected Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society
Professor B Suresh Lal received the letter as Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain from its president professor AJ Stockwell.

Warangal Urban: Head of the Department of Economics and Chairman of Board of Studies in Economics of Kakatiya University (KU) Prof Suresh Lal Banoth has been elected Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society (RAS) of Great Britain and Ireland.
Professor B Suresh Lal here on Tuesday received the letter as Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain from its president professor AJ Stockwell. Suresh Lal has 25 years of teaching and research experience, and he is serving as Editor of the International Journal of Environment & Development. He has to his credit authored and edited 20 books and 121 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He completed five research projects, guided 15 PhD & MPhil scholars and delivered 315 talks to college students on various contemporary issues.
Earlier Prof Lal was elected Fellow of International Academy of Social Sciences-USA, International Society for Ecological Communication-Poland, and Eminent Fellow Member of SAS Society-India. He is member on the editorial board of 43 International Journals. Jury Member, the Global Undergraduate Awards- Ireland, Member of the Executive of Indian Economic Association and Member, 20 International Academic Organizations like WSSCC, GEI, WALAC, UNWTO, HEF and ISEE. He extensively visited to 20 countries across the globe on academic assignments. Prof Lal won as many as 48 awards for his research excellence and community service, including Indira Gandhi National Award and Amartya Sen Gold Medal.
