Kamareddy youth climbs water tank over DJ restrictions during Ganesh immersion

A youngster climbed an overhead water tank at Posanipet village in Kamareddy district on Saturday and threatened to end his life, reportedly demanding permission to play a DJ during Ganesh immersion. Police counselled him, following which he climbed down.

Kamareddy: A tense situation prevailed for a while when a youngster scaled an overhead water tank and threatened to jump demanding permission to play DJs during Ganesh idol immersion at Posanipet village in Ramareddy mandal on Saturday.

A young devotee from the village expressed his dissent against restrictions of the police over playing loud music during the processions. He climbed atop the tank and reportedly threatened to end life if police did not allow him to use DJ.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and counseled the youth, explaining the consequences of playing high-volume music at the time of immersion.

Convinced by their reasoning, he eventually climbed down from the tank, averting a potential tragedy and bringing relief to the police. Meanwhile, a video clip of the incident went viral on social media platforms.
