BRS Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar addressing the media in Karimnagar on Friday.
KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar MLAGangulaKamalakar demanded that the State government conduct a resurvey of the caste census since the first one was not done properly.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Kamalakar reacted to BC Welfare Minister PonnamPrabhakar’s statement that the people, who had not registered their names earlier, could register their names.
“Did the government have the details of people, who had not recorded their names during the caste census?” he questioned and demanded that the government make public the draft of the caste census report.
Village and town-wise details of the census should be displayed so that the people whose names were not found on the list would register their details, he said.
Talking about the BC population, he said the government humiliated the community by reducing their numbers.
Everybody knew that the BC population was more than 50 per cent. However, the government reduced the population to 46 per cent.
The Congress, which came to power by getting BC votes based on the Kamareddy declaration, deceived the community people after coming to power, the BRSMLA remarked.
