Karimnagar Collector instructs officials to complete medical examinations to all women
Collector Pamela Satpathy said that medical officers working in urban health centers should concentrate on arogya mahila programme and ensure the completion of medical examinations to all the women in the limits of their centers.

Karimnagar: Collector Pamela Satpathy instructed officials to complete the medical examinations being done to women under Arogya Mahila programme hundred percent.
Participating in ‘Shukravaram Sabha’ held in Laxminagar here on Friday, Collector said that medical officers working in urban health centers should concentrate on arogya mahila programme and ensure the completion of medical examinations to all the women in the limits of their centers.
Under the programme, 54 different types of medical tests (worth of Rs 50,000) were being done free of cost. It was possible to identify chronic diseases like cancer in the initial stage if the tests were done.
Stating that four types of tests were essential for pregnant women, she said that it was possible to assess the health condition of the pregnant lady as well as fetus. If there was any problem, it was possible to take steps to overcome it.
Every woman should undergo four ANC tests in government hospitals, she advised and informed that government hospitals would work with a motto of public health.
Collector asked the people to join their children in Anganwadi centers where quality education was being taught on par with private schools. Women should be provided a balanced diet along with vegetables, leafy vegetables and fruits, she instructed.
Additional Collector Praful Desai, district welfare officer Sabitha, Additional DMHO Sajida and others participated in the programme.
