Four persons detained by taskfroce police for selling Remdesiver injections illegally in Karimnagar.
Karimnagar: Task Force police detained four employees of a private hospital for blocking Remdesivir injections and selling them at higher price in violation of the government orders.
After being tipped off, police kept a watch on movement of the private hospital staff and on Thursday, the officials raided Pravista apartment in Kisannagar and arrested four persons while they were selling the injections illegally.
L Anjani Kumar of Saidapur, Chopari Gopichand of Kothapalli, Gajjela Shyam Kumar of Choppadandi and Gantala Ugender of Savaran Street of Karimnagar were taken into custody.
According to police, the accused, who are working in a private hospital in Karimnagar, were blocking Remdesiver injections and selling them at higher price if any patient undergoing treatment in their hospital required the injection. After knowing it, task force police conducted raids in the apartment and arrested the four accused.
Seven Remdesiver injections, Rs 4,530 cash, and four mobile phones were recovered from them.
