Task force seizes 22 bags of PDS rice stored in Medak farmhouse

Police in Medak seized 22 bags of PDS rice illegally stored in a farmhouse at Rajpally village. A case has been registered against the owner, and authorities have promised strict action against those misusing subsidised food meant for the poor.

Medak: Task force police on Thursday seized 22 bags of Public Distribution System (PDS) rice that were being stored illegally in a farmhouse at Rajpally village in Medak mandal. Acting on a tip-off, officials conducted a raid and seized the rice.

Inspector Krishna Murthy said that strict action would be taken against those involved in hoarding or selling PDS rice, which is meant for distribution to the poor. A case has been registered against the farmhouse owner.
