Karimnagar Municipal Commissioner warns encroachers of legal action

Commissioner on Wednesday participated in the safe pavements campaign and removed illegal occupations in Hyderabad road from Khaman area to NTR chowk

Karimnagar: Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar Commissioner Valluru Kranthi warned of legal action against owners of shops and other vendors who occupy pavements in the town.

The Commissioner on Wednesday participated in the safe pavements campaign and removed illegal occupations in Hyderabad road from Khaman area to NTR chowk.


Besides temporary installations, permanent ramps were also removed. Speaking on the occasion, she said in order to ensure pedestrians to walk freely on pavements, MCK has taken up save footpaths campaign and removing all illegal occupations.

She warned to take action against owners of shops if anybody was occupying footpaths. Besides imposing a fine, shops would also be seized, she made it clear.
