“How can the BJP admit Rajender who was dismissed from the Cabinet? The party National and State leaders should explain to people about this before welcoming him into the party,” he said
Hyderabad: Former Minister and BJP leader E Peddi Reddy took exception to the decision of a few party leaders to welcome former Health Minister Eatala Rajender into the party as reported in a section of the media.
“How can the BJP admit Rajender who was dismissed from the Cabinet? The party National and State leaders should explain to people about this before welcoming him into the party,” he said.
He said no one from the BJP consulted him before taking a decision on admitting Rajender into the party. “I worked as a Minister twice after being elected from Huzurabad. I will certainly contest if there is a byelection in Huzurabad,” Reddy said.
“The people in Huzurabad Assembly constituency know me very well,” he said. To strengthen the party, the leadership can admit anyone but there is no need for any leader to continue in the party against his or her self-respect.
“What is the problem with me for the leaders who came by a special flight? I am a leader from Huzurabad and why did the leaders ignore me during discussions held in the farmhouse?” he asked.
