Hyderabad: The sudden demise of Maganti Gopinath, senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and MLA of Jubilee Hills, has left the party and its members in deep shock and sorrow.
BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao, working president KT Rama Rao, and former minister T Harish Rao expressed their profound grief and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
Chandrashekhar Rao expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Gopinath, describing it as an irreparable loss to the party. In his condolence message, he highlighted Gopinath’s journey in politics, noting that he rose through the ranks with hard work and dedication. He praised Gopinath as a gentle and respected public leader who earned a special place in the hearts of the people of Jubilee Hills.
As an MLA, Gopinath was always accessible to his constituents and established himself as a senior political figure in Hyderabad, Chandrashekhar Rao said, expressing regret that despite the best efforts of doctors and the party, Gopinath could not be saved. He extended his heartfelt sympathies to Gopinath’s family, friends, and supporters.
KTR condoles
BRS working president KT Rama Rao also expressed profound shock and grief over the untimely demise of Gopinath. Recalling Gopinath’s contributions, he noted that the three-time MLA worked tirelessly for the development of the Jubilee Hills constituency. He described Gopinath’s passing as a significant loss to the party and conveyed his deep condolences to the bereaved family. Rama Rao visited AIG Hospital in Hyderabad to pay his respects. In light of the tragedy, Rama Rao cancelled his scheduled tours to Nalgonda and Khammam districts on Sunday.
Harish Rao pays tribute
Former minister and MLA T Harish Rao termed Maganti Gopinath’s sudden demise as deeply saddening and a great loss to the BRS. In his condolence message, he expressed his heartfelt sympathy to Gopinath’s family and highlighted the late leader’s inspiring political journey, calling it a model for others. Harish Rao prayed for peace for the departed soul, hoping that Gopinath’s legacy would continue to inspire.

BRS leader and MLC K Kavitha expressed grief over the sudden and untimely passing of Maganti Gopinath, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA from Jubilee Hills.
In a post on X, she said “The demise of Jubilee Hills MLA and BRS Hyderabad district president Maganti Gopinath has caused deep distress. His untimely death is an irreparable loss to the people of Hyderabad as well as the BRS party. I pray to God that his sacred soul finds peace and that courage be granted to his grieving family members.”
