KCR condoles death of poet, writer Dr. Vijaya Bharti

Hyderabad: BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his deep condolences on the demise of the renowned poet, writer and Ambedkarite Dr. Vijaya Bharti.
Recalling her significant contributions as a literary and social scholar, he said Dr. Vijaya Bharti had served as the director of the Telugu Academy.
“She was the editor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s writings and speeches. She also authored the biography of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, presenting it to the Telugu community for the first time. Her efforts in these areas were immense and highly valued,” he added.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
Dr. Vijaya Bharti was the daughter of the eminent poet and writer, Padma Bhushan Late Boyi Bhimanna. She was the wife of human rights activist Bojja Tarakam, and the mother of State Irrigation Department Principal Secretary Rahul Bojja.
