Hyderabad: Wednesday was different for scores of youngsters as they settled down in chairs arranged over the lawns of the City Central Library, Chikkadpally. Dawn had broke with a fresh ray of hope for the youngsters who were looking forward to settle in life with a government job.
The announcement of massive recruitment to 80,039 vacancies in various government departments by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ushered in new hope among these students and unemployed youth.
Many of them couldn’t stop thanking their stars for opening up new vistas given the fact that the Chief Minister’s announcement was about massive recruitments and not just a handful of jobs. The announcement fuelled their aspirations given the plentiful of opportunities to get into the government sector with their merit.
The excitement was palpable among the young crowd who on a regular day would quietly peruse their preparations in pin drop silence. But then, today was different. Chatter broke out as they got engaged in animated discussions about the announcement.
Several students and unemployed youth who have been waiting for job notifications thanked the Chief Minister for the announcement, which they said, put to rest all apprehensions on recruitment among students and unemployed youth.
With a wide grin, M Venkatesh, a Group-I job aspirant, says, “Now, considering a large number of jobs that are up for grabs, I will prepare with more focus. After issuing the notification, enough time should be given to the aspirants for preparation,”
Another government job aspirant, K Manoj, said he was preparing for Group posts for the last two years and was keenly waiting for the opportunity.
“It is time for youth like me to get completely focused on preparations and pave a bright future for ourselves with the opportunity provided by the Chief Minister,” Manoj added.
