KGBV student falls from first floor; suffers injuries
Sai Shruthi, a first-year intermediate student at KGBV Ketidoddi in Jogulamba Gadwal district, suffered injuries after falling from the first floor on Tuesday. School officials suspect weakness due to emotional distress. She is currently stable and under medical care.
JOGULAMBA GADWAL: A student from Kasturbha Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) fell from the first floor of the institution building at Ketidoddi mandal here on Tuesday morning and suffered injuries.
The incident occurred when Sai Shruthi, a first-year intermediate student, was taking the staircase from the first floor to reach the classroom. However, she fell from the first floor and suffered injuries. Hearing other students scream, the staff members reached the spot and immediately shifted Shruthi to the Government General Hospital, Gadwal, according to reports.
Speaking to media persons, KGBV Special Officer Padmavathi said Sai Shruthi is a good student; however, since the last few days, she has been mentally upset over a few family matters. Other students said that she had also neglected food and studies. She might have fallen from the first floor due to weakness, the Special Officer said, as per the reports.
The student’s condition is said to be stable. More details are awaited.
