Khammam cybercrime police arrested a man from Visakhapatnam for cheating a physiotherapist of Rs.30 lakh through fake online trading schemes. The accused used social media platforms to lure the victim with promises of high returns and was remanded to judicial custody

Khammam: Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt said on Monday that the cybercrime police arrested a person from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, in connection with cheating of Rs.30 lakh by promising high profits through online share market trading and investments.
The accused, Jagga Rao, befriended a physiotherapist from Khammam district on Instagram and WhatsApp and lured him into investing in online share market trading through fraudulent WhatsApp links.
The accused was produced before the Khammam court and remanded to judicial custody. Dutt commended DSP (Cybercrimes) Ch RV Phaninder, Inspector Kondaparthi Naresh, Sub-Inspectors Ranjith Kumar and Vijayakumar, Head Constable Srinivas Rao, Constable Bhanu Murthy, and other staff for nabbing the accused.
