Khammam: The suicide by a woman, who allegedly hanged her two daughters to death before taking her own life at Nidhanapuram of Madhira mandal in the district on Thursday, is being attributed to her husband being arrested by the police.
Preja (35) before hanging herself, had allegedly hanged her children Mehak (6) and Menurul (7) to death at their residence.
According to family members, some police personnel had reached their residence in the morning hours and took the woman’s husband Shaik Bhaji away in a vehicle.
However, the family members did not know the police personnel or from which police station they had come to pick up the man.
Soon after the police left the place, Preja resorted to the extreme step. It was learnt that she was also asked to come to the police station.
Meanwhile, the local police also did not know from which police station or which district police arrested Bhaji.
They denied any knowledge of the case because of which he was arrested as well. Preja, a Hindu, had married Bhaji in an inter-religious marriage a few years ago. The man works as a labourer.
