Khammam police burns 624 kg of seized ganja

The burnt ganja was seized in seven cases related to Khammam One-Town, Two-Town and Three-Town, Nelakondapalli, Vemsoor Tirumalayapalem and Kallur police stations.

Police burnt 624 kg ganja in Khammam on Monday.

Khammam: Police burnt 624 kilograms of ganja that was seized in various cases in the Khammam Police Commissionerate limits.

The substance was burnt at the police firing range in the Manchukonda forest area under the supervision of additional DCP Naresh Kumar here on Monday. The DCP said the burnt ganja was seized in seven cases related to Khammam One-Town, Two-Town and Three-Town, Nelakondapalli, Vemsoor Tirumalayapalem and Kallur police stations.

The ganja stock stored in police stations was destroyed following the instructions of the top police officials based on the gazette notifications of the Central and State governments, he said.
