Yadadri-Bhongir: Clearing the air over his moving close with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at officials programmes in Jangon and Bhongir, Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said on Saturday that he attended the official programmes to bring the issues of his Lok Sabha Constituency to the Chief Minister’s notice.
Speaking to the media on the premises of new district collectorate of the district, he said he sought the appointment of the Chief Minister several times after winning as MP of Bhongir. “There was, however, no response from the Chief Minister. Hence, I decided to utilize the official programmes to highlight the issues,” he said.

He said the Centre has accepted his request for setting up of sports complex at Bhongir and come forward to extend funds, if the land was allocated by the state government. He did not get the opportunity to personally discuss with the Chief Minister on the issues in his constituency at the programs, but he submitted memorandum to him, he said.
The Congress MP evaded a question on why he attended the official programmes when TPCC president A Revanth Reddy asked party workers to boycott them.
