Konda Surekha outlines ambitious plan to develop Telangana as eco-tourism hub

Forest Minister Konda Surekha has announced a strategic plan to position Telangana as an eco-tourism hub, with Niladri Hills set to be developed as a flagship site. Funds will be mobilised from the Tourism and Endowments Departments to support the initiative.

Hyderabad: Forest Minister Konda Surekha on Friday said that the government was working with a vision to transform Telangana into an eco-tourism hub.

At a meeting with officials here on Friday, the Minister said development of these projects should be taken up with a holistic approach, respecting local culture, tribal traditions and spiritual heritage.

The Minister announced a special plan for Niladri Hills, comparing it with the Bhimbetka Hills of Madhya Pradesh, and directed that funds should be allocated from the Tourism and Endowments Departments to promote it as a unique eco-tourism destination.
