Khammam: The district forest department has constructed a wooden bridge near Puligundala project tank enabling safe crossing of a stream in the forest area and to make the trek towards the scenic Puligundala waterfalls enjoyable for visitors.
The newly built wooden bridge, built with locally available material, has been designed to blend with the natural surroundings while providing greater convenience and safety to trekkers, nature lovers and visitors, said the District Forest Officer (DFO) Siddharth Vikram Singh.
The bridge eases movement across the stream besides adding charm to the trekking route, making the journey to the waterfalls more attractive and immersive. The initiative aimed at improving eco-tourism facilities; enhancing visitor experience and making it memorable.

Such facilities are being created with due care so that visitors would enjoy the beauty of the forest while preserving ecological integrity of the area. Visitors should cooperate with the department by maintaining cleanliness, avoiding plastic use and protecting natural surroundings during their visit, the DFO added.
