Kothagudem: As many as 1,040 students studying in government schools were tested at free dental camps organised under the aegis of Nava Limited and Rohini Foundation
As part of ‘Oral care iron healthy child programme’ tests like quick vital signs, hemoglobin test dental tests, ultrasonic scaling fluoride application were conducted for the students, informed Dr. Alekhya of the foundation.
Nava Limited general manager MGM Prasad said that medical examinations were conducted for students of Zilla Parishad High Schools at old Palvancha, Kommugudem, Karakavagu, KTPS, Navabharat High School and Mandal Parishad Primary Schools at old Palvancha, Palakoya Tanda Kommugudem and Karakavagu.

In these dental examinations, 250 students were found to have low hemoglobin, 287 students were given ultrasonic scaling tests and 226 students were found to have tooth decay, he said.
Iron folic acid and vitamin C medicines were distributed to the students.
