Kothagudem police constructing a bridge in Cherla mandal with Rs 4.50 crore
The district police in Kothagudem are constructing a Rs 4.50 crore bridge between Vaddipet and Pusuguppa villages to improve connectivity for adivasis in Cherla mandal. Superintendent of Police Rohith Raju inspected the site and urged speedy completion.

Kothagudem: The district police are constructing a bridge between Vaddipet and Pusuguppa villages for the benefit of adivasis living in Cherla mandal and surrounding areas in the district.
The bridge is being constructed at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore to provide better transport facilities to the adivasis in remote agency villages. Superintendent of Police B Rohit Raju inspected the construction work on Friday and told officials to complete the work as soon as possible.
Earlier in the day, the SP along with district Collector Jitesh V Patil inaugurated the CM Cup tournament at the new sports ground constructed at a cost of Rs 75 lakh by Cherla police with special central assistance (SCA) funds on the outskirts of Pujarigudem in Cherla mandal.
Young players from Bhadrachalam, Dummugudem and Cherla mandals are participating in the event. Addressing the players, Collector Patil said that these sports competitions are a good opportunity for the youth of the agency area to showcase their talent.
He said that many players from Bhadrachalam, Dummugudem and Cherla mandals have already showcased their potential in state-level, national-level and international-level sports and hoped that more players would emerge from the mandals.
SP Rohith Raju said that the district police would always support the youth living in the agency areas of the district to excel in all fields. The sports ground has been readied in a short time with the efforts of Cherla CI Raju Varma under the leadership of Bhadrachalam ASP Vikrant Kumar Singh.
