Hyderabad: Telangana has advised the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to not only discuss the present drinking water requirements but also the needs of Yasangi season.
This was proposed by Telangana Irrigation and Command Area Development Engineer-in-Chief Ch Muralidhar during a virtual meeting with the three-member committee of the board here on Thursday.
After Andhra Pradesh agreed to the proposal, the committee decided to meet again before this month end to discuss all the issues.
Earlier, AP proposed discussion on water requirement till December 15 and requested allocation of 23.68 tmc of water. It did not speak about the water requirement of Yasangi. Then Telangana proposed to discuss water requirement for Yasangi. Telangana has already proposed 19 tmc of water for drinking water needs and 151 tmc for irrigation requirements.
