Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao blamed the Congress government, for poor governance at both the State and village levels. He advised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to wake up from deep slumber and focus on addressing the issues plaguing the gram panchayats across the State.
In a post on X, Rama Rao pointed out the dire condition of rural administration, citing unpaid bills, financial distress among former sarpanches, and village secretaries facing unwarranted trouble by using personal funds. Pointing to crumbling infrastructure, poor sanitation, and lack of streetlights plaguing villages, he lamented the inability to repair roads or provide fuel to panchayat tractors, asking whether this was the Indiramma’s rule and people’s governance that the Congress promised.
He contrasted the current scenario with the BRS regime, stating that villages thrived with ample funds and development. He charged the Congress with reverting rural areas to old troubles, urging the government to act before the situation worsens. He questioned how the villages will overcome these hurdles.
