KTR examines roads, junctions in Nalgonda by walking three kilometers

Nalgonda: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao on Friday inspected the condition of roads and junctions in Nalgonda, walking from Agricultural Market yard on the Hyderabad road to the DEO office on Devarakonda road.
He inspected the junctions at NG College, Clock Tower Centre and Ambedkar statue and instructed the officials to prepare plans for their development and beautification. He also inquired the officials of R&B about the roads linking to the junctions.
Along with Ministers Vemula Prashath Reddy and G Jagdish Reddy, Rama Rao also interacted with the common people and shop owners during his three km walk.
He surprised Satyanarayna, owner of Sadhya Men’s Parlour near clock tower centre, when he walked into the shop. He inquired with Satyanarayana whether he was getting free electricity supply to his shop. When the shop owner said he was getting the facility, he sought to know about his family’s financial condition. When the Minister questioned him about the problems prevailing in the town, Satyanarayana said that bad roads were the major problems faced by the people. He requested the minister for expansion of the roads and also to take up beautification of main centres by the state government in the town.
Later, the Minister went to Reddy Hotel and had a tea there along with other ministers and MLAs. He also spoke with the owner of the hotel Mohammed Saleem about the main issues in the twon. Saleem too pointed to the bad roads and unemployment. When the minister asked him about the implementation of Shaadi mubarak, he complained there was delay in getting the benefits. Rama Rao instructed the officials of Municipal Administration, who accompanied him, to note down the issues.
He also extended Rs 500 to the hotel owner as bill for the tea. He also interacted with a retired teacher near District Jail on Devarakonda road. When the Rama Rao question him about the steps required for development of Nalgonda town, the retired teacher told that development of the roads would automatically lead to development of the town.
Seeing women beggars from budiga jangalu community at clock tower centre, he asked them about their family background. He assured them that the government would examine the possibility of extending Dalit Bandhu to their community.
