Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao extended financial assistance to the family of Telangana movement fighter Iduru Janardhan, who belonged to a Dalit family.
Rama Rao arranged fixed deposits of Rs 3 lakh each for Janardhan’s three daughters and provided an additional Rs 1 lakh to the family as immediate financial assistance.
Janardhan, who actively participated in the Telangana movement, including the ‘Manukota’ incident, died due to illness. He had been struggling with poverty and working as a daily wage labourer to support his family. His death has left his wife and three daughters in difficult circumstances.
After learning about the family’s plight, Rama Rao responded by arranging the fixed deposits to secure the future of Janardhan’s daughters and extending immediate financial assistance to the family.
Acting on his instructions, senior BRS leaders Satyavathi Rathod, Redya Naik, Maloth Kavitha and other party leaders from Mahabubabad district visited Janardhan’s residence. They consoled the bereaved family, offered their condolences and handed over the financial assistance provided by Rama Rao.
