Hyderabad: After a short break, BRS working president KT Rama Rao returned to work on Wednesday and reaffirmed his commitment to Telangana and its people. Remembering the electoral defeat of the BRS a year ago, he called the past year as one of the hardest years for the party, replete with many setbacks and challenges.
Quoting the famous line, “It ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep going,” he said after a year, the party was here fighting it out and standing for the people of Telangana.
Rama Rao on Monday, thanked BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao for his leadership and acknowledging the dedication of BRS leaders and grassroots workers. He appreciated the collective effort of the party cadre who stood strong with the party, despite facing many hardships including the defeat in Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, hospitalisation of Chandrashekhar Rao, imprisonment of BRS MLC K Kavitha, harassment and arrests of the BRS leaders by the Congress government and also defection of MLAs and other leaders. He also extended special thanks to BRS social media warriors globally for their role in supporting the party’s fightback.
“You’ve been playing a terrific role in this journey. Four more years to go,” he added, urging continued efforts to overcome challenges and work for the progress and welfare of Telangana.
