KTR welcomes High Court verdict on Group-1 exams

BRS working president KT Rama Rao welcomed the Telangana High Court verdict on the TSPSC Group-1 Mains, calling it justice for unemployed youth. He accused CM Revanth Reddy’s Congress government of incompetence and demanded immediate compliance with the court’s directions.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao welcomed the Telangana High Court verdict in the TSPSC Group-1 Mains case, calling it a slap on the face of the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He said the judgment had delivered long-awaited justice to unemployed youth who had fought relentlessly against irregularities.

In a statement, Rama Rao said that despite repeated appeals from students with concrete evidence of malpractice in the Group-1 exams, TSPSC acted stubbornly and pushed ahead carelessly. “The government even filed cases against unemployed youth and subjected them to lathi-charges instead of addressing their concerns. The High Court verdict was truly commendable, as it vindicates job aspirants’ struggle,” he said.


The BRS working president stated that the judgment, which examined lapses ranging from exam centre allocation to issuance of hall tickets and result manipulation, exposed the government’s incompetence. “Revanth Reddy, who played with the future of students by conducting exams in a hurried and flawed manner, must answer to this verdict,” he charged.

Rama Rao said the High Court’s intervention had stopped the Congress from treating prestigious Group-1 jobs like commodities for sale. He accused the government of deceiving unemployed youth with hollow promises before and after elections, only to fail in conducting basic exams. He demanded that the Chief Minister apologise and immediately comply with the court’s directions to re-evaluate or re-conduct Group-1 Mains within eight months.

“Do not waste time with more appeals. Implement the verdict in full and ensure justice to the youth,” he insisted.

He reiterated his party’s support to students, stressing that the verdict was a victory for their tireless struggle against injustice.
