Narayanpet: A few Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applicants continue to get shockers of abnormal regularisation fee in different areas in the State.
The State government is extending 25 per cent rebate for LRS applicants, who pay the regularisation fee before March 31. However, several applicants are getting notices of abnormal regularisation fee payments.
A government employee from Bogaram under Gundamal mandal in Narayanpet district applied for regularisation of his 336-yard open plot under the LRS scheme. To his shock, he was asked to pay Rs 104 crore for regularisation fee.
The employee checked the LRS application status at a private internet centre in Kosgi. After all the details were entered in the system, the regularisation fee for his 336-yard plot was fixed at Rs 104 crore.
The market value of the plot was finalised at Rs 2,21,22,016 and the regularisation fee was calculated at Rs 1,12,676,14. The total, including the 14 per cent open space charges, was finalised at Rs 104.34 crore, according to reports.
Meanwhile, the Jadcherla Municipality rectified the mistake of abnormal regularisation fee demanded from an applicant.
K Jhansi applied for regularisation of her 200-yard plot at Kishtareddy Nagar under survey no. 108 and she received a notice asking to pay Rs 27.33 crore towards regularisation fee.
After the issue was extensively reported in the media, Municipal Commissioner Laxma Reddy examined the application and rectified the mistake.
The LRS fee for the plot was finalised at Rs 30,034, reports said.
