Leopard caught in ICRISAT fit for release back into the wild: Hyderabad zoo
The rescued animal kept in quarantine block for observation under the supervision of a veterinary team, says Nehru Zoological Park curator

Hyderabad: A leopard, which was trapped on the ICRISAT campus in Patancheru, was shifted to Nehru Zoological Park here on Thursday.
In the first hours on Thursday, a male leopard aged about five to six years was caught by Sangareddy DFO Sridhar and his team in a cage. Later, the animal was moved to the Hyderabad zoo for medical examination.
Nehru Zoological Park curator J Vasantha said the rescued leopard was kept in the quarantine block for observation under the supervision of a veterinary team headed by Dr MA Hakeem.
As per the doctors’ preliminary report, the leopard’s health condition was good and fit for release back into the wild.
