Karimnagar: Writer and Sahitya Akademi Award winner Prof Katyayani Vidmahe opined that literacy which records the historical facts would be alive forever.
She released “Karona Kalam Kathalu”, “Shathadika Rachayitrula Kathalu” and compilation of various stories published jointly by ‘Telangana Rachayithala Vedika’ and ‘Rudrama Prachuranalu’ at a programme held at Press Bhavan here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, she appreciated the writers for documenting actual incidents that took place during the period of Covid pandemic and publishing a book.
Another writer and Sahitya Akademi Award winner Dr Nalimela Bhaskar emphasised the need to write more books on tragic incidents which took place during the period of Covid pandemic. He expressed deep concern over declining human values.
Telangana Rachayithala Vedika State president Gajoju Nagabushanam presided over the book releasing function while Dr BN Swamy introduced the books.
Writers Dr Thirunagari Devakidevi, Alisetti Rajitha, Dr Komarraju Ramalaxmi, Muradi Shyamala, Kandukuri Anjaiah, Kondi Malla Reddy, Sumitra, Kukatla Thirupati, Nasiruddin, Edunuri Rajeshwari, Kumar, Shankaiah, Arun, Jalander Reddy, Gajender Reddy, Penugonda Basaveshwar, Sarasija, Siripuram Vanisri, Srinivas and others participated in book release function.
