Hyderabad: In keeping with this year’s Republic Day theme “Sampoorna Bharat’ and coinciding with the Prime Minister’s call for celebrating ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Delhi Public School, Nacharam organised a slew of activities for various classes to commemorate the 75th year of Independence and the 73rd Republic Day.
All the online activities planned were age-appropriate and included flag-making for the students of pre-primary and junior school, poster-making for students of classes III to VIII and essay-writing and slogan-writing competitions for students of classes IX to XII. Students from different schools and class levels participated enthusiastically in the various activities displaying nationalistic emotion and patriotic fervor.
The little ones from pre-primary and junior school made innovative Tricolor using different materials available at home ranging from popsicle sticks, grains, colour papers etc. The theme for poster-making was ‘Incredible India’ and students created colorful posters depicting the unique culture and varied heritage of Incredible India. The middle school and secondary school students also participated in the slogan-writing competition by giving attractive and catchy slogans for Republic Day.
The students of secondary and senior secondary school also participated in an essay writing competition on the theme of Republic Day. Principal Ms. Sunitha Rao commended the efforts of the students, teachers and parents in making the pre-republic activities a huge success.
