Hyderabad: Fine dining restaurants seem to be all the rage in Hyderabad right now. Another luxury dining restaurant called Voila opened its doors in Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills recently and is grabbing many eyeballs for not only its plush interiors and décor, but also its unique fusion menu, lip-smacking food, and tantalising cocktails.
The most interesting thing about Voila, however, is the fact that you can shop everything that catches your eye in the restaurant including the cutlery, paintings, artefacts, furniture, lights, chandeliers, and the pretty décor you see adorning the ceiling the moment you walk in. You can do your shopping while relishing the yum food and drinks served by the extremely polite waiters. Soon, Voila will start a coffee bar in the outdoor area.
Raja Srikar and Kunal Kukreja, the owners of Voila, give an insight into what went behind this unique concept of Voila after already starting successful pubs in the city like Amnesia and Insomnia.
“Coming from club culture, we decided to start Voila to create a different vibe and experience for people. From families to people who love to experiment with food, we’ve had different kinds of people at Voila. We are pleasantly surprised by the huge turnout as well because we just started in January,” they say.
They have dedicated a proper amount of dishes like the ‘Dahi kebab, Aged cheddar dust’ and ‘Tandoori pineapple, Maple glaze’ for vegetarians, unlike other restaurants.
“Not just that, our non-veg dishes like Chicken Chettinad Pasta, Gunpowder glaze, Pulihora and Chicken, and desserts like Tiramisu and Mango Cheesecake have all been a big hit,” shares Kunal, adding that their special cocktail mixes are sourced from Mumbai.
The thought of starting a retail restaurant in Hyderabad where one can eat and shop came to Srikar after being inspired by the city’s famous Numaish exhibition.
“When we go to a restaurant, all of us have the habit of admiring the cutlery like the salt and pepper shakers. So at Voila, if you like something, we are presenting you with an option to take it home. If you’re building a new home, instead of going to a furniture store you can simply come here for lunch and finish shopping for furniture. The website for the products sale will go live soon,” added Srikar.
Make sure you try and reserve a table before planning on visiting Voila.
