Yadadri-Bhongir: Two youngsters in love committed suicide by hanging from a tree in an agriculture field at Burugupally of Rajapet mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district.
The deceased were identified as Kotaraju Sai (20) and Medichettu Akhila (18), both natives of Burugupally. Since they belonged to different castes, their parents strongly opposed their love and warned them not to meet each other. The two, dejected by their families’ rejection, resorted to the extreme step, police said.
According to police, Sai and Akhila left their houses on Sunday evening and did not return their respective homes. The locals found them hanging from a tree in the village. On getting information, Rajapet police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to government hospital at Alair for autopsy. The police filed a case and took up investigation.
