Hyderabad: The power generation at the Nagarjunasagar project was stopped reportedly due to low inflows.
Sources said that the power generation at the Nagarjunasagar project was started on June 29 and since then over 16 million units were generated every day.
“We don’t know the reasons, but we received instructions from the higher officials to stop power generation from the project,” an official said.
He added that, presently, there were no inflows to the project. The current water levels in Nagarjunsagar project is 529.20 feet as on Saturday at 6 am as against its full reservoir level (FRL) of 590 feet.
