The Union Minister of State for Home demeaned former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, says TPCC president

HYDERABAD: Countering Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay’s comments, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud sought to know what stature Prime Minister Narendra Modi had compared to the sacrifices made by former Prime Minister, the late Indira Gandhi.

With his comments, the Union Minister had demeaned the former Prime Minister and should tender an unconditional apology, Goud demanded.

Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, the TPCC president said the Congress party had immense respect for the Prime Minister. But to insist on changing the Indiramma Indlu scheme reflected the Union Minister’s cheap politics, he added.
