The Telangana government has launched the Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme in the CURE area, under which beneficiaries must contribute Rs 6 lakh towards a flat costing Rs 11 lakh. The government plans to construct one lakh flats in phases across 16 Assembly constituencies
The Telangana government will finalise locations for Indiramma housing projects within the CURE limits by June 28 and release a detailed scheme brochure in July. It plans to construct one lakh houses this year, with women beneficiaries receiving ownership rights.
The Congress government will allot BRS-era double-bedroom houses under the Indiramma scheme, starting with a pilot in Mahabubnagar. Beneficiaries will complete unfinished units with State aid, as the government targets one lakh housewarmings in the first phase

The Congress government initially launched the four schemes on a grand scale on January 26, promising statewide implementation. However, it later backtracked, stating that the schemes would be rolled out in a phased manner, starting with one village per mandal under a saturation model.

At a few places, villagers argued with officials that names of ineligible persons were included in the list and that genuine beneficiaries were left out
The officials are tight-lipped over sharing the details of Indiramma Committee constituted so far in the State and the beneficiaries shortlisted under the scheme.
Each committee will be chaired by either a Sarpanch or a Panchayat Special Officer at the Panchayat level, along with a Councillor or Corporator at the ward level. The committee will also include two women from SHGs, three local individuals—one from the BC community and one from either the SC or ST community—as well as the Panchayat Secretary and the Ward Officer.
“One guarantee is still left. Due to the model code of conduct, we could not implement the guarantee,” Kharge said at a press conference here on Friday.
