Admission opens for two-year MBA, four-year BBA in Tourism and Hospitality and BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration courses

Hyderabad: Are you passionate about making a career in tourism industry, hospitality, event management and facility management? If you are, then here is a good opportunity. The National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Hyderabad has announced admissions into its two-year MBA in Tourism and Hospitality, four-year BBA in Tourism and Hospitality and BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration programmes for the academic year 2021-22.
The MBA and BBA in Tourism and Hospitality programmes are offered under the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad affiliation, while BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is under NCHMCT and IGNOU affiliation.
Students enrolling in BBA Tourism and Hospitality programme are given a perspective into different aspects of running a travel agency including business management, finance and accounting, marketing etc. On completion of the course, students can find employment opportunities in Directorates and Departments of Tourism in Centre and States besides in private sector like in a travel agency, hotel, airline, transport agency or cargo.
Likewise, the MBA programme provides students with specific competencies for the tourism and hospitality business in a practice-oriented and holistic approach. The Institute’s top recruiters include Thomas Cook, Marriott, Trident Hostels, Lemon Tree Hotels, Hyatt, Avasa, Hilton, Novotel, Accor Hotels, TCS, Radisson, Air India, Air Asia, The Westin, and Sheraton among others.
Students applying for the BBA Tourism and Hospitality programme should have scored a minimum of 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST students) in the intermediate or equivalent examination. Selection of applicants will be done through any of the aptitude entrance tests UGAT, JEE-NCHMCT, ATMA-UG, EAMCET or equivalent. An analytical writing test will be conducted by the NITHM for those students who have not taken any aptitude entrance test.
The admissions to BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration will be done through NCHMCT counselling for candidates who qualified in the JEE-NCHMCT. Similarly, the MBA programme requires a minimum 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST students) of marks in graduation and applicants will be selected based on the score obtained in any one of the exams CAT, MAT, ATMA, ICET or equivalent or analytical writing test followed by an interview.
The admission process for MBA and BBA programmes is underway and the online application form will be available till August 16. The academic session will commence on August 27. Students can apply through the website http://nithm.ac.in/.
