Hyderabad: A lot of youngsters get confused while thinking whether to follow their passion or focus on their career. Meet Adithya Hruday who is taking baby steps towards the film industry and also pursuing his career in Email marketing.
“I always wanted to get into the film industry, but I had no clue about how to make headway. Thanks to YouTube for providing a platform for youngsters like me who could utilise it to showcase our talent and make a mark,” says Adithya, whose dream is to open a production house.
Believing in the adage ‘practice makes man perfect’, the 24-year-old Adithya started writing while he was pursuing his BTech. “It happened all of a sudden. My friends used to discuss a lot about films; and during one such discussion sessions, we thought of exploring our hidden talent and try shooting a short-film. When we managed to do it successfully, it boosted my confidence and I started working on more short-films. I understood a lot in terms of technicalities, process involved, technology, actual shooting, angles, camera work, editing, etc., after getting into the field,” says Adithya, whose goal is to work on films involving drama and emotions.
As someone who loves trying his hand at anything creative, Adithya ensures that he presents his stories differently. The youngster listens to the plot, imagines the entire story and starts sketching the characters.
Adithya’s short-film titled ‘Natana’ bought him good recognition. He has been awarded the best Indian Film House (IFH) film which gave him self-confidence and also exposure in the film industry. Apart from this, he also directed ‘Vanchana’, and ‘Sarcasm’.
“‘Natana’ was done during the lockdown. I thought of a lot of concepts and finalised this one, and then forced my father and friend to act in it. Things worked out really well. I learnt editing and shooting in the process of making short-films, which became a plus point for me,” says Adithya, who holds a black belt in karate.
“I faced struggles while shooting short-films – finding locations and gathering everybody at one place are not that easy. And we should also make sure to direct the film just as we imagine it,” says Adithya, who completed his BTech from Shreya Institute of Technology.
Adithya wants to enter into the film industry and is now coming up with new concepts to try his luck on the big screen soon.
