Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said that Mallanna Sagar project, built as part of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), will change the lives of farmers of these parts of Telangana for good by providing drinking and irrigatino needs of the area.

The Minister who visited the reservoir which has 50 TMCft storage capacity, on Friday, said the biggest project in KLIS was completed only with the efforts of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. When he enquired, the Irrigation authorities said that the water has reached up to 11 TMCft storage against its total storage capacity of reservoir. The water was filled up to 30-metre height covering the 20 kilometre of area against the reservoir’s total area of 22 kilometres. DE Suman, JE Bharat, Forest Development Corporation Chairman Vanteru Prathap Reddy, PACS Chairman Bakki Venkataiah and others were present.
