Man accidentally sets Telangana Talli statue ablaze at Chowtapally mandal; arrested

Siddipet: Akkannapet police arrested a man, who was responsible for setting a Telangana Talli statue on fire at Chowtapally mandal. However, the police said he had done it accidentally.
The man Kamadri Rambabu (34) and his friends who were having a booze party on Sunday night in the village, lit a cigarette and accidentally threw the match stick on the cloth that was wrapped around the statue. The statue which was ready to be unveiled soon, was kept covered by a cloth.
The cloth went up in flames in no time, damaging the statue. After noticing the incident on Monday morning, the villagers complained to the police.
The police warned that they would not tolerate any such attempts and have arrested Rambabu.
