Man dies by suicide over financial distress
A 50-year-old labourer, M Pochaiah, died by suicide in Ghatkesar after allegedly facing severe financial difficulties and debt. He had recently sold his house for his daughter’s marriage. Police have launched an investigation into the incident
Hyderabad: A 50-year-old man died by suicide allegedly due to mounting financial difficulties in Ghatkesar on Thursday.
M Pochaiah of Aushapur in Ghatkesar was working as a centering labourer and had recently sold his house to meet expenses for his daughter’s marriage.
Facing severe financial strain and unable to repay debts, Pochaiah reportedly became distressed and developed an alcohol addiction. On Thursday, he allegedly consumed pesticide at his residence and died.
The Ghatkesar police are investigating.
