Man dies in cow attack in Medchal
A cow came running towards Arun and attacked with its horns on left side of his abdomen

Hyderabad: A man died after being attacked by a cow on the road at Uma Nagar in Medchal here on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at 4 pm, when the victim identified as Arun Madhakar Kanawade (46), a private employee from Gokul Nagar in Medchal was going to the market riding pillion on his son’s motorcycle.
Police said when the duo reached near Uma Nagar market area, a cow came running towards them and attacked with its horns on Arun’s left side of the abdomen.
“Due to this, both fell on the road and Arun, who suffered deep injury, was shifted to a private hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment at 5:20 pm. His son Rohit escaped with minor injuries,” police said.
Rohit alleged negligence on part of the owner of the cow for leaving it free on the public road. In his complaint, he sought action against the owner.
The Medchal police are verifying the facts in the complaint and are investigating if it is a street animal or being reared by someone.
