Man from Maharashtra held for cheating bank officials in Mancherial

The accused allegedly fled with the cash given by officials to test the machine, by diverting their attention.

Mancherial: A man from Maharashtra was arrested on the charges of cheating officials of a bank by posing as an ATM technician.

Mancherial Inspector R Bansilal said Rohit Babulal Prakash Kale, a native of Yavatmal district in Maharashtra and resident of Secunderabad duped officials of HDFC bank by fleeing with Rs.50,000 under the guise of repairing a dysfunctional ATM on August 3.


He allegedly fled with the cash given by officials to test the machine, by diverting their attention.

Kale mastered the art of repairing machines with the help of his brother in Nizamabad.
