Man gets 10 years RI, fine Rs 1 lakh for growing ganja in Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court here on Friday sentenced a man to a 10-year rigorous imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 1 lakh for growing banned ganja crop four years ago.
District principal and sessions court judge MV Ramesh convicted Rathod Pool Singh from Kishannayak Thanda in Jainoor after finding him guilty of raising the prohibited ganja crop in his agriculture field in 2021. The then Jainoor Sub-Inspector Ch Tirupathi booked a case against Singh and took up investigations.
ASP Chittaranjan commended Jainoor Inspector Ramesh and SI Sagar for getting the case convicted.
