Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man was arrested on charges of cultivating cannabis plants in his farm at Kolamchichpalli village in Wankidi mandal on Saturday. Police seized 380 plants valued at Rs 38 lakh from him.
Wankidi Sub-Inspector Mahender said that Madavi Nagesh from the village was apprehended while growing the plant as an intercrop in his cotton crop, field following a tip-off.
A case was registered against Nagesh. An investigation has been taken up. Police urged the public to report crimes relating to narcotics on WhatsApp number 87126 70551, assuring the identity of informants will be revealed.
