Hyderabad: A man lodged a complaint against his wife, an Armed Reserve woman police constable working at the Hyderabad Armed Reserve Head Quarters, accusing her of cheating, threatening and harassing him. According to the police, the constable, M Sandhya Rani had married thrice, with one of her husbands’ ending his life due to her alleged harassment. Last November, she had a love marriage with P Charan Teja from Hayathabad in Shadab of Ranga Reddy.
On Tuesday, Charan Teja approached the police saying Sandhya Rani, who had a daughter, had trapped him in the name of love and married him at the Arya Samaj in Kukatpally. He said she threatened to foist a case against him if he did not marry her and also that she would publicise their selfies.
Soon after marriage, she started harassing and threatening him, alleged Charan Teja, who also recorded a video leveling the allegations and sent it to the Shamshabad DCP and Shabad police seeking action against Sandhya Rani. The police are verifying the facts and said necessary action would be taken based on further evidence.
