Hyderabad: A violent clash between two known rowdy-sheeters left one man grievously injured at the Jagadgirigutta bus stop on Wednesday evening.
The injured person, Roshan (26), a resident of Jagadgirigutta and a rowdy-sheeter under Balanagar Police Station limits, was attacked by Baleshwar Reddy (23), also rowdy-sheeter from Jagadgirigutta police station, along with his associate Mohammad.
According to the police, a preliminary investigation indicated that a financial dispute between Roshan and Baleshwar Reddy had been brewing for some time.
Acting on a premeditated plan to eliminate Roshan, the suspect arrived at the Jagadgirigutta bus stop on a motorcycle and without any provocation, suddenly attacked Roshan with a knife in full public view.
Terrified locals and motorists refrained from intervening as the assailants fled the scene, leaving Roshan bleeding profusely.
He was first rushed to a nearby private hospital. Due to his critical condition, he was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital for advanced treatment.
It is learnt that all three Roshan, Baleshwar Reddy, and Mohammad are known associates and allegedly involved in drug-related activities.
The Jagadgirigutta Police have registered a case of attempt to murder and efforts are on to nab the absconding suspects.
Senior police officials visited the scene and are examining CCTV footage to trace the attackers.
Police stated that further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
