Hyderabad: A man suffered grievous injuries after being stabbed by a rowdy-sheeter in full public view at the Jagadigirigutta bus stop on Wednesday evening.
Police suspect a previous enmity led to the attempted murder incident. The injured person was identified as Roshan, a resident of Jagadgirigutta.
As per available information, there was a running financial dispute between Roshan and the suspect, Balreddy, a rowdy sheeter, for the past few days.
As per a plan to eliminate Roshan, Balreddy along with his associates, came on a motorcycle to the bus stop and without any provocation, picked up an argument with Roshan and stabbed him with a knife.
The local residents and passersby who witnessed the attack tried to prevent Balreddy, but stayed away out of fear of being attacked. Leaving Roshan grievously injured, the assailants fled from the spot on the bike.
Roshan was shifted to a nearby hospital.
The Jagadgirigutta police have taken up the investigation. Senior police officials also visited the spot.
