Jubilee Hills bypoll: 97 out of 103 voters avail ‘Home for Voting’ option
In a commendable move towards inclusive electoral participation, 97 out of 103 eligible voters, comprising senior citizens and persons with disabilities, exercised their franchise from home in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. The Election Commission of India facilitated this initiative for voters aged above 85 and those with over 40 percent disability.

Hyderabad: Out of the 103 voters who applied for home voting, 97 senior citizens and persons with disabilities exercised their right to vote from their homes.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), a special facility was provided for elderly individuals over the age of 85 and persons with more than 40 per cent disability, who are registered on the voter list, to cast their votes from home in the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency by-election.
A total of 84 applications were received from elderly voters and 19 from voters with disabilities. The election staff visited 103 voters at their homes between 9 am and 5 pm on November 4 to facilitate voting. November 5 and 6 will be the last date to utilise the ‘Home for Voting’ facility for the remaining voters.
