Hyderabad: A routine ride home after a long day at work turned fatal for a young shop worker, who was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants near Devi Bagh in the Kamatipura police Station limits on Tuesday late night.
According to Kamatipura police, the victim, Aravind Ghosle (25), a resident of Musalayiguda in Kishanbagh, worked at a rice shop. On Tuesday, after closing the shop around 10 pm, Aravind started home on his motorcycle. As he was passing the Devi Bagh stretch, a group of unidentified men reportedly began trailing him, intercepted his bike, and launched a violent knife attack.
Investigators said Aravind suffered multiple deep stab wounds and died on the spot. Preliminary inquiries suggested that the murder may have been triggered by an alleged extra-marital relationship with a married woman, though police said they are probing all possible angles.
Kamatipura police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
Case was booked and special teams have been formed to identify and track down the attackers.
Police are examining CCTV footage from the area and questioning acquaintances of the victim to determine the motive and trace the killers.
