Kamatipura police arrested several people for allegedly killing a man over an illicit relationship. The victim was lured to a spot through a phone call and attacked brutally. He later died while undergoing treatment, police said.

Amith Singh (38) was killed in Kamatipura, Old City, after being attacked near Pochamma Temple Road on Saturday. His wife reported the incident to police. Two people have been detained, and authorities are investigating the case.

A 25-year-old shop worker was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants near Devi Bagh in Kamatipura on Tuesday night. Police suspect a personal dispute but are examining all angles. CCTV footage is being analysed and special teams formed to trace the attackers.

On a complaint made by the victim’s father, the police registered a case against the suspect and arrested him on Thursday

The persons arrested are Shakera Begum (39), Syed Irfan (30), property dealing agent, Shiva Kumar (35), event management and Syed Azeem (18), a private employee.

The family members found him lying on the floor and took him to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

The victim Syed Mukarram, (45) was murdered in broad day light at the Chunne ki Bhatti road under Kalapather police station limits in the old city on Thursday evening
