Man strangles wife to death in Nirmal
The accused, Katta Nikhil surrendered to the police and confessed to the crime
Nirmal: A man allegedly strangulated his wife to death in Kuntala mandal centre following some family dispute on Tuesday.
He later surrendered to the police and confessed to the crime. Kuntala police said that the deceased was Vadla Gouthami (23), wife of Katta Nikhil, a motorcycle mechanic.
Gouthami was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence. Her parents found bruise marks around neck. They alleged that she was murdered by their son-in-law. Gouthami was married to Nikhil eight months ago. Soon after the wedding, differences cropped up between the couple. Elders tried to resolve the disputes.
Nikhil and Gouthami were staying in a rented house for the past few days. It is learned that he eliminated her when she was asleep. The accused is being interrogated.
